Pentra-Sil® (AC) is an advanced lithium-based alkalinity control treatment specifically designed for use on sweating, efflorescing or high pH surfaces. This unique product neutralizes the surface and reduces sweating and vapor drive that carries alkaline salts to the surface of the concrete. Nano-Lithium® technology densifies and hardens the surface, increasing abrasion resistance.
High pH levels at the surface of concrete are often made worse by the application of sodium or potassium silicate and siliconate-based products. The higher pH can attract moisture as Mother Nature acts to equalize an imbalance by drawing moisture from the concrete slab towards the surface or from the air above the slab. By permeating the surface with Pentra-Sil® (AC), this pH imbalance can be mitigated to help prevent alkaline salts from reacting with carbon dioxide to form efflorescence. **For more extreme symptoms we recommend a full treatment consisting of Pentra-Sil® (C&N) followed by Pentra-Sil® (AC).
